Our Mission
Target
RURCON is targeting Church denominations and Christian Development Organisations.
RURCON believes that the Church as a community of the body of Christ forms a forum through which wholistic development can take place and that it is the only viable agent of Transformation that is credible and has a genuine mandate for the transformation of society.
Our Response
In response to the problems enumerated above, RURCON aims at ensuring that the Church remains a primary development agent, a good model of the Kingdom of God Community that is self sufficient through sustainable development and control of its environment. RURCON promotes the growth of the Church in Africa by assisting her in rural development work, which is a vital aspect of Church witnessing. Therefore, RURCON in partnership with Christian Churches and Development Organisations, and individuals both within and outside Africa respond pro-actively to Africa's social ills.
Vision
RURCON has a vision of an African Community that is socially, politically, economically, environmentally, culturally and spiritually whole as God intended, with the Church as the agent of Transformation.
